Noreen Leahy

Noreen has much experience in, and passion for education, and the support of all students regardless of achievement levels or obstacles to learning.

For eleven years she led a thriving Special Education and Pupil Personnel Department in a highly regarded Long Island School District, where she demonstrated her passion for establishing supportive environments, efficient operating systems, and innovative and creative solutions to the pressing needs faced by public school districts. Noreen facilitated several district and community wide task forces where she was committed to educating students, staff, and families about the dangers of substance use among our youth and the importance of mental well-being. Her drive to provide outstanding educational and extra-curricular opportunities to all students was evident in the many programs she established while serving as a district leader.

Noreen’s experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Principal and School Counselor helped develop her insight into all levels of District operations. A Long Island native, Noreen earned her Doctorate in Education, Learning and Teaching, from Hofstra University in 2014.
