Grant and Budget Planning and Analysis

The preparation and management of annual budgets and writing of grants are daunting and time consuming tasks. We will help assure compliance of financial regulations in the budget process and special education grants. This will include a review of the current budget and collaboration process with the business office. North Star will help Districts identify best use of grant funds to maximize the efficacy of District programs.

• Support the writing of IDEA grants and Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG)

• Fiscal review of special education budget including state aide and funding sources. Advise and instruct in the development of yearly pupil personnel budget.

• Reviewing STACs and developing an organizational plan for retrieving state aid in a timely fashion.

• Cost analysis of special education within district and out of district placements.

• Develop a fiscal plan for the establishment of special education programming including special classes and integrated co-teaching programs.
